Portfolio Evaluations

Cupola Academy has PA-certified teachers on staff who conduct the annual year-end Portfolio Evaluation that is required to comply with Pennsylvania Home Education Law. Cupola Academy community members receive a discounted rate and priority scheduling for evaluation appointments.

Testing

Pennsylvania Home Education Law requires students to take a Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) approved standardized test in 3rd, 5th and 8th grade. Cupola Academy offers a test-prep session for young people and will proctor the PDE-approved test. CA community members receive a discounted rate.

Training Workshops

In addition to offering in-person programs for youth, CA offers workshops—both on-site and virtually—for parents and educators who are wishing to learn more about self-directed education, our pedagogy, or how to bring the core tenets of our philosophy into a home, school, or work setting.
